Pete Townshend studio and stage used guitar

Pete Townshend’s Takamine used to play Pinball Wizard live on stage.

This guitar was obtained from the producer of KLFM radio station. It comes with a letter of provenance from the producer, pictures of Pete using the guitar in the studio and also live on stage. The guitar also comes with a letter of provenance from Takamine guitars artist relations manager. Here is an excertp from the radio producers letter:

“As producer of the program, I worked with the promotion department of Atlantic Records to set up a promotion with Pete Townshend.

Mark & Brian regularly commandeered the parking lot for their own purposes, That morning, they invited listeners to come down to the radio station with their guitars, to join in a giant guitar jam with Townshend on “Pinball Wizard”. The below picture shows Pete on stage playing “Pinball Wizard”.

Before jamming on this guitar with the listeners, Townshend sat in the studio for an interview and played a song alone on this guitar.”
